"My goal for the new year is to start the "Couch to 5K" program and I needed a good, sturdy shoe. I wanted something lightweight with support for a flatter foot, especially since I roll my right foot inward when I walk/run. I also wanted a shoe that had a lower backing because of my short tendent/ankle. This shoe does it all! I walked/jogged 3 miles last night and my feet do not hurt. They're light, airy and comfortable. I was sad to almost take them off because I felt great wearing them. My only problem with them was the color. The shoe also comes in Pink, but had a different fit than this one (Green). But it's a work out shoe and not something I want wear to impress someone. In short - Buy these shoes! You won't regret it!!!"

Despite all the colorways that dropped, the white/red colorway is great because of the contrast, these turn heads. They are mad comfy and lightweight. Flu Games were cool too, nubucks were aight."

"On technical trail it's really important to have a responsive shoe (unless you enjoy face plants on jagged rocks). Besides helping to keep you off your face, a stiffer, lower profile shoe like the Fireblade, helps you run more efficiently, as you spend less time wobbling back and forth with a wide-legged gait. The minimalist tread seems to give enough traction and helps to really feel the trail, since it doesn't mess with the ankle's proprioception like many higher profile shoes. The first time I put on the shoe I felt that it begged to be run aggressively, but I was worried that the stiff sole and light weight might pound my body over the course of 50 or 100 miles. My fears were alleviated as my legs and feet still felt nimble 7 hours into a difficult 50 mile race and my recovery was very short as compared to past years. One improvement I could suggest is changing the lacing system so that it creates less pressure points on the top of the foot. All in all, I think that the Fireblade is a great shoe for technical courses of any distance, such as the Zane Grey or StumpJump, but that it might be a little stiff for long courses with less technical trail and lots of hardpacked roads or pavement like Leadville."

I bought these shoes because I had recently seriously injured my leg and wanted something that would be easy to slip on, and also give good support as I learn to walk again. I wanted something that would have an ample toe box, as I am diabetic and need the room for my toes to move freely. I also wanted something stylish that I would enjoy wearing. These shoes met all of my expectaions and I am completely satisfied with my purchase.

I was a guide for many years and loved my ASOLO backpacker boots for 10 years. It was time for new boots and time to downshift to a lighter boot for my more recreational and period backpacking use now after my guiding years. I just used these boots for the first trip and they were fantastic. Light, waterproof (through 2 rain storms), great traction on very slippery terrain, and comfy.

"The only complaint about these shoes is that the women's size stops at an 11 instead of 12. They run small just like other brands. Had to go to a man's shoe to get something that fit. The men's need to be a little more stylish so women that have long feet can enjoy the same comfort. I used to never wear SKECHERS because they did not have an arch and I have really high ones, but the Shape Ups are ok and my knees and heels do not hurt like they used too. Just as good as another name brand and half the price."

"This is not a tactical boot with a steel shank and toe. This is a climbing boot for strenuous hiking. It is lightweight with a lot of support in the right places. It is a very breathable and water resistant boot that you forget is on your feet. Takes a few days to break in, but after that it is much like a "Brooke's" bicycle seat. Nothing more comfortable that money can buy. Worth every penny."

"This is my second pair of these shoes. I like them a lot. They are good for narrow feet. I\'d say they run a half size small. I use these shoes to go on my regular 4 mile walks. They are very comfortable and I like the way they look. (I do add my own insoles to these shoes but I do that with all of my walking shoes!)"
