"Picked these because they are light and had a good tread pattern which works in the wet. That they were cheaper than all the other shoes on the shelf was a plus. Fits nice and snug but I did go a size larger than normal as commented by another reviewer. This has the benefit of giving me more room in the toe box which is useful when running down fire roads as there's less chance of banging your toes up against the end of the shoe. I used to use salomons, and while I loved the lace system I've gone off them as their toe box is too small and I've lost too many big toenails. Very comfortable, they feel light and just getting on the trails with them is a pleasure. I ran the Dipsea in them and realized afterwards that they gave great traction on suicide and the shute. I was impressed. Not had them long enough to say much about durability but given the price they'd have to be really bad for me not to buy them again and so far they are not showing any sign of poor durability."

"I have been wearing this brand shoe for many years .This pair #4 or 5 . They will outlast anything i have ever had .And the cost is very reasonable .Don"t pay the higher prices for something that the pro's recommend remember they are getting big buck's to endorse products you are just paying for there name . Buy something that Joe citizen recommends like myself recommends because i am not being paid for my comments . Just telling you what my experience has been with this shoe over the many years and miles .Can't be beat."

"I really like this shoe. I run in a hot, humid climate, and this shoe really breathes. It doesn't feel too heavy, but the sole has excellent traction. The shoe fits my foot snugly, but not too tightly. I am also excited about using the Nike and iPod insert that syncs with my Nano. There is a spot in one of the shoes under the insert to put the sensor in. I think that using this technology will be a real asset in my training."
