And the reason why I say partial is because it only bothers me on the cold days - in the summer time, it's great to have the ventilating properties because my feet stay dry. The traction on these shoes is like no other. I have tried several types of hiking shoes and nothing compares to the stability and no-slip qualities. I can run down a steep embankment and not feel the least bit unsafe. It amazes me everytime!
