Air Jordan 14 Original / OG Low - UNC White / Obsidian - Columbia Blue

Fit was spot on and true to my size. The shoes first appear to be heavy from the pictures, but I was well surprised as to how light weight they are despite rugged design (they seem as light as the Hush Puppy work boots I am replacing). I am on my feet all day (I drive the Big Brown truck) and these shoes are comfortable all the way home. The soles are flexible and give you a natural step vs. the feel of walking with boards tied to the bottom of your feet with other boots. I am not too yet confident of how the Goadomes perform on slick surfaces; a brief test on a slick wooden deck incline provided some mixed results- my footing held, but not as secure as the soles on the Hush Puppies. Water proofing is A plus, feet stayed completely dry while working during all-day rainfall.

"I purchased these shoes after reading Born to Run and learning that more cushioned shoes are actually correlated with more injuries. In the past, I've only been able to run once or twice a week. I have weak ankles, and a few months ago whenever I ran I ended up with such pain that I had to rest for several weeks. Amazingly, with these shoes I have no pain! I've been running nearly every day for over a month, 2-3 miles each time, with no injuries. Sometimes my feet or my calves feel sore, but I believe that's a result of strengthening them. "I recently started a serious exercise regimen walking on a treadmill. I was walking about a mile a day, and it was really hard on my feet. (I also have Type II Diabetes, and experience some numbness on the bottoms of my feet.) I would get about half way through my mile and the bottoms of my feet would start to really hurt. I'm now walking a mile and a half every day and my feet love every step! I'm working on catching up to my sister-in-law, who walks 3 1/2 miles every day! I highly recommend this shoe for anyone who walks or runs, or just wants something comfortable for every day. What a great shoe!"

"This shoe is very light especially for an athletic looking shoe. The toe box is roomy and the heel fits well. It fit me true to size and I can wear black tights or socks with it. Fantastic Zappos got them to me overnight although I did not pay anything for shipping. The brands below which I recommend all have shoes with moderate arch support with at least a few styles that don't scream old lady shoes."
