The Air Jordan 16 (XVI) Original (OG) - Black / Varsity Red (3/4 High Men) was released on February 17, 2001, and retailed for $160. They were the original colorway of the Air Jordan 16 (XVI), and are set to be retroed in 2008 as part of the Air Jordan 7 (VII) / Air Jordan 16 (XVI) Countdown Package. They feature an all black leather upper with a patent leather toe, as well as red accents, and a clear outsole. The only thing wrong with the Air Jordan 16 (XVI) is that they do not have great traction, as there is not enough rubber on the bottom. This specific colorway features a black leather shroud which hides the lacing system, and gives the shoe a more casual look, which is an added bonus. Features of the shoe include a hidden quick lace system, carbon fibre sheath, patent leather, Zoom Air insoles, and a Jordan shroud, which is a covering for the laces, made from full grain leather.

"I gave these sneakers 2 "MERCY" consolation stars. It's a sad day when shoes this ugly get to wear the great name of Jordan on them. If you play basketball, you'll appreciate the enhanced ankle, heel, and arch supports!,which means the materials are probably okay!, and won't mind beating these shoes to death on the court!, and the faster you beat them, the better!LOL. The leather uppers feel hard and fake!, and for the price, they could at least throw in a "REAL" diamond on the side!LOL. Casually, the only saving grace these shoes have are the leather sidings, and the marble styled bottoms!, otherwise, they are a half step above a very cheap sneaker. There's just no way to create value for these accept to say that if you hide them under a pair of jeans, they might pass!, otherwise, just don't buy them."

"Great sneaker - While not too long ago I was a diehard New Balance wearer, as my foot changed so did my brand choice. I stayed loyal to Asics for a while but have since moved on to Saucony. While their running sneakers are possibly the most comfortable sneaker I've ever worn, they only come in white, which is a little too Jerry Seinfeld for me. I've bought 2 pair of Saucony in the past 5 months and my tired pregnant feet approve. I have these in tan and red and they look cute with everything short of evening wear. With 2 months to go, I'm hopeful I don't out grow them."

"Great Shoes! I am very petite with very small feet and have always had problems finding women's shoes smaller than a size 5. I have finally found my brand. This is my second pair of size 5 Saucony and they fit like a 4.5- PERFECT. I hope they never change! Snug but not too snug in the toe box and virtually no breaking in time. I'll probably purchase another color (great colors by the way) - very sturdy for trails and running on the road."

"These are the most comfortable Nikes I have ever had. They have give to them so your feet are not cramped up and the soles are cushioned good. I have a lot of arthritis in my ankles and knees and they help to take some of the stress off of them plus I have a wide foot and the mesh upper gives my foot room to spread out.
