The Air Jordan 16 (XVI) Original (OG) + - Gingers (Light Ginger / Dark Charcoal - White) were released on November 24, 2001, and retailed for $160. they feature a yellow upper constructed from either suede or durabuck, along with blue accents. The Air Jordan 16 (XVI) combines aspects from previous Air Jordans. For example, you can see the patent leather located on the toe from the Air Jordan 11 (XI), the ribbed leather gaiter similar to the uppers of the Air Jordan 14 (XIV). Also, the 3/4 midcut from the Air Jordan 3 (III), and the mesh uppers from the Air Jordan 5 (V). O yeah, this was the year that Michael came out of retirement for the second time to join the Washington Wizards. The only problem with these is traction, as they do not feature enough rubber on the sole. If you find yourself running at top speed and decide to come to a dead stop, you will find yourself sliding across the hardwood. Other features of the shoe include a hidden quick lace system, carbon fibre sheath, patent leather, Zoom Air insoles, and a Jordan shroud, which is a covering for the laces, made from full grain leather.

Long runs of over 1.5 hours without a single hot spot or wear point and traction is good in snow as well as dirt. "I've always favored the Saucony brand for my walking workouts and this shoe didn't fail me. It's lightweight and has an excellent sole for walking/running. "I have worn Merrell sandals for years and now have my second pair of trail walking shoes. The special Q-form construction for women must be the difference because I have so many problems finding comfy shoes and these really work for me. The toebox is just right for comfort without the shoe seeming too big and wide which can be a trip hazard in sport shoes. I did need to go up a half size in this shoe. I live in Hawaii and it is water resistant and easy to keep looking good, better than white tennies, and has great traction for all types of weather."

I bought these shoes because I had recently seriously injured my leg and wanted something that would be easy to slip on, and also give good support as I learn to walk again. I wanted something that would have an ample toe box, as I am diabetic and need the room for my toes to move freely. I also wanted something stylish that I would enjoy wearing.
