"I've been wearing New Balance for many years, and the 845's are the best walkers yet. They are lightweight but provide great shock absorption. The rollbar really helps with pronation, and the roomy toebox is easy on bunions. I walk 2 to 3 miles on pavement every day, up and down hills, every day, and my feet feel as good at the end of the walk as at the beginning. I can also wear these shoes hiking, if the trail isn't steep or slippery."

"I wear these shoes on neighborhood walkways (paved, dirt, and gravel); on the local town streets; and when walking from my home through the woods (not a public trail) to a local conference center, where I walk the trails. When I finish with a strenuous walk, I do not feel the need to remove these shoes. "Snazzy! These shoes are perfect for me and my slightly wide feet! I am taller in them, too. The shoes feel great on my feet and feel stable. I will be replacing the insoles with my own as I need more substantial arch support. The patent leather adds a little snazzy touch to my gym outfit! With Nike, I typically have to add to my length nearly a size because of my width."
