The Air Jordan 19 (XIX) Original (OG) SE - West (White / Metallic Gold - Varsity Purple) were released on November 13, 2004, and retailed for $165. They feature a white leather upper with with purple secondary colors, and gold accents, which are highly remnant of the Los Angeles Lakers color scheme. They feature stitched designs along the sides, remnant of the Air Jordan 12 (XII). They feature a purple patent leather toe area, purple and gold outsole, and a purple inner lining. The lacing eyelets and Jumpman logo are also gold, which definitely help to spice up the shoe. Although they dont feature the highly noticeable straps and mesh typically seen on the Air Jordan 19 (XIX), they do still consist of specifications which deal with comfort, such as a phylon midsole with a double stack Air Sole Unit in the heel, combined with a full length zoom air bag, as well as a 3/4 length carbon fiber shank for added support. The outsole features a solid, modified version of the herringbone pattern, which provides great traction on the hardwood, as well as new flex groove details for added flexibility.? "Really nice trail running shoes. I use them when running in the Golden Gate Park in all weather conditions and they are great!
The only minor problems are: a) the pull-clip stopper broke but I fixed it by fixed it with a dead knot and b) it is not built for 10hrs day hike where much rock scrambling and steep slopes become the challenge. One should always wear hiking boots. I may consider a) being a tiny disappointment but not b) because the shoes are designed for traill running. They performed so well that I thought they would work for a long day hiking and i was wrong."

"I wear these shoes almost everyday. They are so comfortable, easy to slip on and off. This is a really great aspect because I don't wear shoes in my home and if my hands are full I can still easily get into or out of my shoes. But don't think that this then makes them fit sloppily - just the opposite they feel secure on your feet while cradling them in comfort. I can stand all day in these shoes and not have tired feet at the end of the day. I bought my first pair of Jungle Mocs about 15 years ago and I hope Merrel never stops making them. I always have a black pair and a tan pair in my wardrobe at all times. Just the best overall casual/comfortable/supportive shoe out there and stylish too!"

"I've had these for eight months now, and they are wonderful on hikes in various weather. Dry AND icy trails in Rocky Mountain National Park, slippery crag and mud in a local nature preserve and normal conditions in local parks and on pavements ... I had to experiment with sizing (about two sizes bigger) because I wear wool liner and socks AND green Superfeet, but the right combination feels comfortable and my feet do not stink at the end of the day. Another plus: I did not have to break them in. Also when laced properly, these boots provide ankle support, which comes in handy because I tend to get my feet caught in rocky crevices."

"I buy these shoes for my husband; he won't wear anything else. He finds them to be very versatile in that, he wears them everywhere, even to church. His feet really hurt and give him lots of problems. When looking for a good shoe while living in Colorado, we just happened to be in the mall and he tried a pair of the Jungle Mocs. He fell in love immediately and has worn them ever since, approximately 13 years. I then tried the Jungle Slides and he loves them too. They wear forever and look marvelous. When we moved to California and Utah, we couldn't find them or the Merrell brand. What did I do? I went online and lo and behold, there they were and I've ordered them that way for a very long time. What could be simpler than that; great shoes, great prices, great wear and the most comfortable shoe he's found. We recommend them to everyone who is looking for the best.

"This shoe is very light especially for an athletic looking shoe. The toe box is roomy and the heel fits well. It fit me true to size and I can wear black tights or socks with it. Fantastic Zappos got them to me overnight although I did not pay anything for shipping. The brands below which I recommend all have shoes with moderate arch support with at least a few styles that don't scream old lady shoes."

"These shoes are the best. I just now received my 5th pair. After three (3) foot surgeries and living in FL flip-flop mecca, these shoes are heaven sent. I wear them everyday and am stopped each and every time I wear them. People want to know where to buy them. I tell them Zappos of course. Zappos service is excellent. My only complaint is - We need more colors of Air Rifts!!"
