The Air Jordan 20 (XX) Original (OG) 3/4 - White / Metallic Silver - Deep Garnet were released in December 2005 and retailed for $125. They feature a low cut design, with a white upper filled with laser etchings which feature a complex tapestry of symbols representing MJ?s experiences and stories. Each symbol is a cryptic puzzle that only die-hard Jordan fans can deduce. The black nubuck mini-rand on medial side and toe box are there to prevent creasing. The concept behind these are an expensive trumpet (musical instrument), racing boots, and motorcycle tires.The design on the upper is modeled after the trumpets.The shoe is amazing, as it has a revolutionary cushioning technology called Independent Podular Suspension (IPS) system. Other technical specifications include leather, patent leather or nubuck uppers with laser-etched highlights, a phylon midsole supporting twenty I.P.S.(Independent Podular Suspension) ?pods? on the outsole, and an internal shank plate in the midfoot area.

"These weigh so little it's like you have nothing on your feet. They're also cool -- I wear them to hike in the High Desert. Their performance on rock is just fine, and they look nice (no weird neon colors). The only place I wouldn't wear these is heavy-duty talus, carrying a heavy pack, or in the wet. They do tend to fit 1/2 size small, so order accordingly. Mine are starting to wear a bit inside at the heel -- there's a metal shank or something that's starting to bend and poke me -- but I have had them for several years and covered many miles."

The color and style works well with most clothing, even a skirt if the need arises (temple, mosque, etc). "I needed a good walking shoe due to a sprain on the top of my foot. I love the way these look, but the arch support is mediocre at best and the shoes feel heavy if I wear them all day. Absent an injury, I might not have noticed the arch issue but the shoes are definitely heavier than I prefer."

"Really comfortable, roomy toebox, but 8 months later and the dratted things still squeak when I walk! Argh. I\'ve tried fussing with the insoles, even putting a thin piece of tissue between the insole and the insert were the Nike+ transmitter goes, but nothing helps or lasts long. Annoying for what would otherwise be a great shoe."
