The Air Jordan 20 (XX) Original (OG) - East (Chutney / White - Black) were released on July 1, 2005, and retailed for $175. Tinker Hatfield who had not designed any pair of Air Jordans since the Air Jordan 15 (XV) returned to design these. The concept behind these are an expensive trumpet (musical instrument), racing boots, and motorcycle tires. The design on the midfoot strap is modeled after the trumpets. Hatfield had visited with master trumpet maker David Monette. Monettes presentation trumpets are beautiful and expensive musical instruments that had elaborate cut-outs and engravings. Nikes laser expert, Mark Smith, was brought in to design the midfoot strap. The final design is a complex tapestry of symbols representing MJs experiences and stories. Each symbol is a cryptic puzzle that only die-hard Jordan fans can deduce. The ironic thing is that this particular colorway, dubbed the East as it was part of a regional pack and only released on the East coast, does not feature any engravings on the strap, but instead, across the entire rest of the upper.The XX is truly unique, in that it has a revolutionary cushioning technology called Independent Podular Suspension (IPS) system, as well as a free - floating ankle strap. Other technical specifications include leather, patent leather or nubuck uppers with laser-etched highlights, a phylon midsole supporting twenty I.P.S.(Independent Podular Suspension) pods on the outsole, and an internal shank plate in the midfoot area.

"200+ Mile Shoes- I hiked the entire John Muir Trail last summer in these shoes- 222 miles in two weeks, averaging 15 miles a day. The terrain is rugged, to put it mildly, with long climbs and long steep descents. I got these shoes at the last minute and pretty much wore them on the trip right from the box. I knew my other Keens fit my foot- especially the large toe box- which is normally a problem area for me. The shoes did very well. My only complaint was they could use a little more cushioning in the ball of the foot- but I did put them to a pretty extreme test, which they were not intended for. The soles were wonderful- providing great traction over rocks, sand and mud, with a little snow thrown in. I was carrying a 30-40 lb pack the whole time, which probably added to the cushioning issue. Overall, they did a great job, and they are still going strong."

"These are a great pair of running shoes. The cushioning is just right - not too soft that they wear out fast, but not too firm that your feet hurt after only a few paces. I have run plenty of miles in these shoes (not to mention walking countless miles, too) - and the only thing that has happened to them is one of the glue-on "Saucony" plastic pieces fell off. I have had these shoes for a year and a half - and only now am I looking into buying a second pair. These shoes are worth every penny! I have always been told to purchase running shoes at half to one full size larger than your "normal" shoes to allow full movement of your foot when running - so that is what I did. I normally wear size 8, but went to a size 8.5 and it has worked very well for me."

"OOOhhh my gosh these shoes rock!!! wow, you talk about comfort. Being a manager at a fastfood resturant I have a problem with falling arches which causes problems with my knee and stress on my ankle. Well not anymore the rocking motion is great for them it took the stress off my knee and ankles. This shoes allows me to stand for hours and when i walk it re-engerize my legs and thighs. Thanks skechers i have allways loved your shoes but now i'm really hooked"

They have no arch support at all and are not true to size. I think if you have no arches at all maybe there is some support but for me there is none."
