"I have owned a pair for 1-1/2 years and I backpack nearly every 3 - 4 weeks. I use the Microspikes nearly every trip. They have proven themselves on the snow and ice many times over. In August of '10 I did the Bailey Range in the Olympic National Park. 70 miles in 8 days. Due to a high snow winter, there was still heavy snow coverage this year. But also we had to cross loose shale and scree fields in areas and the Microspikes proved a lifesaver, no embellishment there! Many waterfalls and creeks made these areas particularly dangerous this year. They really took a beating. It was on this trip that one ring finally pulled through silicone rubber on one. After all I put these through, I have no complaints. I have noticed they may drift off center on certain brands/types of boots. Otherwise a great product."

They have no arch support at all and are not true to size. I think if you have no arches at all maybe there is some support but for me there is none."
