The Air Jordan 20 (XX) Original (OG) - White / Varsity Red - Black were released on February 19, 2005 and retailed for $175. They are the original colorway of the Air Jordan 20 (XX). They feature a white and black color scheme, along with a red ankle strap. The ankle area features perforations for breathe-ability, and the forefoot features six flexion grooves across the toe box area to prevent creasing. The white upper features shiny iridescent patent leather, and the black nubuck mini-rand on medial side is there to once again prevent creasing. The XX is truly unique, in that it has a revolutionary cushioning technology called Independent Podular Suspension (IPS) system, as well as a free - floating ankle strap. Other technical specifications include leather, patent leather or nubuck uppers with laser-etched highlights, a phylon midsole supporting twenty I.P.S.(Independent Podular Suspension) ?pods? on the outsole, and an internal shank plate in the midfoot area.

"I've had this shoe for about 5 months. It goes to the gym on the treadmill with me and to some very technical trail runs in the north Georgia mountains. Haven't ever used it on a trial run more than 10K and no more than 5 miles on a treadmill... but they hold up great. Super grip. Lots of clay and wet rocks around and never slipped. Sometimes go kick a soccer ball with my buddy and wear them for that too. Only bad thing I can say is they don't have alot of cusion. I like that for trail running because it makes them feel more firm, but for treadmills they are kind of tuff. Hold up great and can't say enough about the grip they provide. Superfeet recomended."

"LOVE LOVE LOVE this shoe. I am an advanced beginner runner and I had really hit a wall with my running. I couldn't seem to increase my speed or my endurance and if I did, I had joint pain the next day. Realizing that I last got new running shoes in 2005, I wondered if that was the culprit. I did some research into shoes and feet and gait and all that, and not wanting to spend a million dollars, decided to give these guys a go. WOW. My first time out with them, I did 3.5 miles in 32 minutes. For me, that's a fantastic run. I felt like the shoe itself was propelling me forward. Each time I hit the pavement, the shoe pushed me ahead. I felt they ran true to size, but many runners like to go 1/2 size up anyway, to allow for how the foot expands while running. All in all, the perfect purchase. A great price, for the right shoe for my wide, underpronating feet. And 2 thumbs up to Zappos, of course. Love this company."

"For working out, jogging/boxing/bootcamp/etc, I SWEAR by ASICS!!! You shouldn't use your gym sneaks outside of the gym, so I needed an alternative. For casual use I wanted something a little more stylish but still good support, so I went to Merrell. As I'm running to work and daycare and kids events, soon starting little league and trips to Six Flags & Sesame place, these will be great. They are stiff compared to my workout sneakers, have durable materials to weather my comings and goings, and still look nice. They just wouldn't be comfortable for a workout, but are good for all the other stuff."

"I have narrow feet (particularly heels) and chose the narrow, but it is too loose in the heel. I purchased these for gym running and strength training but because of the loose (yet comfortable) fit, they are more appropriate for general use (i.e. errands and brisk outdoor walking). The cushioning is great. I will stick with my narrow Asics Gel Nimbus for a tight fitting gym shoe."

It took me a minute to get use to the white that I think makes my feet look a little long, but they are very comfortable considering I power walk at least 5 miles 6 days a week. So I wear them a lot. "I finally went to a specialty sports store for professional fitting for a good running shoe. The result was the Nike Women's Air Pegasus 26. Finally no more black toenails! And soooo comfy. I ordered second pair from Altrec (at lesser price!) and am wearing them as I write this. I put all others in GoodWill box! I love these shoes."
