The Air Jordan 22 (XX2 or XXII) - White / Varsity Red - Black were released on Michael Jordans 44th birthday, February 17, 2007, and retailed for $175. They feature a white leather upper with black and red accents. The back heel features a dark grey and soft grey camo design. The Air Jordan 22 (XX2 or XXII) draws inspiration from the F-22 Raptor Strike Fighter. When you look at the F-22 Raptor you see the light camo spots and sharp aerodynamic cuts that can cut through the air like ice. Some of these characteristics of the F-22 can be seen on the Air Jordan 22 (XXII). These also feature a clear, rubber outsole which wraps around the toe and sides, which is great for traction and pivoting. Other technical specifications include a phylon midsole, new and improved I.P.S. technology, and a diamond shape and extended heel counter that protects even the most vulnerable athlete from a rolled heel.

"I love these shoes. If you've never bought Nike before I recommend you go up a 1/2 a size. These shoes are comfortable and stylish, and that's what I'm about. I have to look "cute" at all times, even when I'm working out. I actually bought two pair; I would have bought a third pair, but i had to catch myself. "These are the most comfortable Nikes I have ever had. They have give to them so your feet are not cramped up and the soles are cushioned good. I have a lot of arthritis in my ankles and knees and they help to take some of the stress off of them plus I have a wide foot and the mesh upper gives my foot room to spread out.
