"Super-comfy! From on-my-feet at work to hiking in the Columbia River gorge, these shoes have been perfect for Portland climate and lifestyle! Waterproof - check (and most necesary)! Good cusioning with great arch support - check! Cool look - check! When I tried them, I kept in mind that they run small, but my normal size 7.5 felt fine, and 8 felt too big. I have found that they feel a little cramped towards the front if I don't lace them snugly, but as long as they're reasonably tightened the fit is perfect. After a month and a half, a couple of stitches started coming out on the toe end of one, so I returned them for a fresh pair, which fit as well as the originals. I do expect to keep them for years, as they're certainly not cheap - and so suggest that you buy from a retailer where it is easy to return/exchange them if anything goes wrong. Hopefully the stitching pulling out was a fluke!"

"I love these shoes. I have a hard time buying shoes that my feet don't end up getting sore in after being on them for a while and these are great. They are so springy and comfortable. The only thing is, you might want to order a size larger than normal. I normally wear a size 8, but sometimes have a problem with shoes being to narrow, so I ordered an 8 wide. When I received them, I could wear them, but they felt a bit snug and my toe was at the end. I really love these shoes and am probably going to order more in different colors. Very happy with them! "I have arthritis and other bone problems and nearly flat feet. The Brooks Addiction's best feature for me: The shoes do not have seams where my "big toe" metatarsal bone protrudes. So at 10.5 4E shoe size, the fit is a big deal for me. I feel that the shoes wear out too soon. I go through two pairs in less than a year, and though I spend a lot of time on my feet, I am retired and do not have to depend on the shoes as work shoes.
