"Light weight, fast, and great traction, right out of box. I had really bad experience with Salmon before, so I was very hesitant to give them a try. Glad I gave a shot, because they have improved a lot (okay, granted I wore Salomon like 20 years ago…) Traction is great, haven't tried in snow yet, but on wet surface they have good traction. Zero break in time, out of box I hiked in Wasatch range for about 6 hours and no hot spots. Arch support is good, but I'd recommend investing in good after market insole – if you know how much boots industry spend on their factory original insole, you will understand why. They are not meant to be (ab)used, period. Highly recommended for folks who need light, fast, yet supportive enough for 20~40lbs pack on the back."

Using them for tennis, they are also quite comfortable for all the lateral movements on the court and they have very good traction. I can't think about anything bad to say about these shoes.
