"First let me say that I DO like this shoe, however the price tag is a bit steep for the what you get. For an Air Max product that are a bit heavy and unlike most other Nike shoes I buy, the size appears to run smaller than usual (i usually buy an 8 with Nike for best fit, an 8 with these shoes is a bit tight). They are quite comfortable though and I feel like I have great ankle support while maintaining some flexibilty as well."

"This was my first pair of hikers! They were pretty wonderful except that they only lasted a year. I average about 5-10 miles per week of hiking mostly in the Phoenix Mountain Preserves and Dreamy Draw and at about 10 months the tread started wearing out and I could feel the rocks. They never gave me blisters even when I hiked 10+ miles. They are a great pair of hikers for someone like me who is an average hiker. The shoe laces were a bit long-- not a big deal."

"I bought the Merrell Moab because they were touted as being good for hot weather. Although they are great for supporting your feet and ankles, it's not like you will feel the breeze on your feet as you walk.
During the hot summer months in Florida, I find myself taking off my hiking shoes after time outdoors. I still need to do that chore even with the Merrell shoes.
I resign myself to the fact that for real breathability, I need some type of sandals or something with actual openings in the shoe to let my dogs breathe!"

"I have narrow feet (particularly heels) and chose the narrow, but it is too loose in the heel. I purchased these for gym running and strength training but because of the loose (yet comfortable) fit, they are more appropriate for general use (i.e. errands and brisk outdoor walking). The cushioning is great. I will stick with my narrow Asics Gel Nimbus for a tight fitting gym shoe."

"Snazzy! These shoes are perfect for me and my slightly wide feet! I am taller in them, too. The shoes feel great on my feet and feel stable. I will be replacing the insoles with my own as I need more substantial arch support. The patent leather adds a little snazzy touch to my gym outfit! With Nike, I typically have to add to my length nearly a size because of my width."

"I have alien arches. They are extremely high so finding a tennis shoe I won t have to use my inserts in is rare. These shoes work well. They are great and flexible. I feel free in them. I used them today on my elliptical and they were nice. They made my feet numb after 30 minutes, but that happens with every shoe I wear on the elliptical."

"These shoes are great. It took me a minute to get use to the white that I think makes my feet look a little long, but they are very comfortable considering I power walk at least 5 miles 6 days a week. So I wear them a lot. They are a little more than I would have liked to spend, but worth it so far."
