"On technical trail it's really important to have a responsive shoe (unless you enjoy face plants on jagged rocks). Besides helping to keep you off your face, a stiffer, lower profile shoe like the Fireblade, helps you run more efficiently, as you spend less time wobbling back and forth with a wide-legged gait. The minimalist tread seems to give enough traction and helps to really feel the trail, since it doesn't mess with the ankle's proprioception like many higher profile shoes. The first time I put on the shoe I felt that it begged to be run aggressively, but I was worried that the stiff sole and light weight might pound my body over the course of 50 or 100 miles. My fears were alleviated as my legs and feet still felt nimble 7 hours into a difficult 50 mile race and my recovery was very short as compared to past years. One improvement I could suggest is changing the lacing system so that it creates less pressure points on the top of the foot. All in all, I think that the Fireblade is a great shoe for technical courses of any distance, such as the Zane Grey or StumpJump, but that it might be a little stiff for long courses with less technical trail and lots of hardpacked roads or pavement like Leadville."

"Love These Shoes! I play a LOT of tennis. Usually, 5 days a week. Very competitive. I have been searching for the perfect shoe for years and have found it with the Nike Air Max Breath Cage II. The fit is snug in the forefoot area, which I need to prevent my foot from moving around inside the shoe causing callouses and pain! Have tried similar shoes, nothing compares! Getting ready to order my second pair right now! The feel isn't quite a half size smaller, just snug, and secure. And they don't stretch out like some shoes."

I got my Jordans in the mail today and boy, they are sweet. They are perfect because they are my school colors and b-ball is starting up soon. They are extremely comfortable and have great ankle support. I think that the 23 on the back is a nice touch. Overall, a fantastic shoe.
