The Air Jordan 8 (VIII) Retro - Playoffs (Black / Varsity Red - White) were released on December 22, 2007, and retailed for $135.They feature the same design as the Originals, except that the original "Playoffs" featured a black midsole, where as these feature a grey midsole. They also feature a black upper, with anti-inversion cross straps, a poly carbonate torsion plate, air sole, and an inner sock similar to the Nike Air Huarache. The Air Jordan 8 (VIII) are sometimes referred to as the "Bugs Bunnies", because people would take the straps, and make them into loops, similar to rabbit ears.

"I wanted athletic comfort for work. I work retail and am on my feet all day on a hard surface. My work dress is business casual so I needed something appropriate for that attire. These are perfect! I wear beasts for working out and was worried my feet would rebel with these but they haven't. "This shoe seems like a good shoe, but I found that after a day that it was hurting my feet. It seems it runs to narrow right before the toe area. However, it also seems to be a bit longer than other this size as well. I ended up buying the Nike: T-Lite VIII Leather to replace these. These fit me perfectly."

"This is my second pair of these shoes. I like them a lot. They are good for narrow feet. I\'d say they run a half size small. I use these shoes to go on my regular 4 mile walks. They are very comfortable and I like the way they look. (I do add my own insoles to these shoes but I do that with all of my walking shoes!)"
