Great investment, I'd buy them again in a heartbeat. These were tested at the end of December 2009 on the Black Forest Trail. There were rocky portions where I was afraid the spikes would snap off but my paranoid checking every few minutes turned out to be superfluous. They take about five seconds each to put on. Didn't take them off once in three days except to sleep and to take a detour through a small town.

"wow first time taking these out they didn't feel like any shoe I had ever ran in before...it provided just the right amount of cushioning without feeling somewhat squishy. I ran four miles in these (the furthest i've ever run without stopping so far) and I believe the comfort of the shoe had a lot to do with that.
I was a little short of breath but my feet were ready for prolly another four more."
