"These are probably the most comfortable shoes that I have ever worn. Upon receipt, I put them on and have worn them every day (except on Sundays). There's no breaking in needed and the support is very good. I have bad feet but these shoes have been my answer even for my treadmill walking. "I was in the High Peaks in late November and asked about trail conditions at the Lake Placid Store. They suggested I might need these. I bought them but being the skeptic that I am, I questioned whether they were just selling me something to make a sale. The conditions on the trail were just as they described and these Microspikes worked perfectly. I used to stop hiking between fall and snowshoe season but now I can continue my treks confidently with these. I was worried they would be uncomfortable but I never even noticed them on my feet!! I used these in mixed conditions (mud, rocks and Ice) and they never got in the way. They didn't seem to have the same grip on the descent but they never slipped, just didn't feel as secure. "The tranction and ankle support on these is excellent. I just broke them in on a 10 mile hike in Lake Tahoe and they performed wonderfully. They were light and breathable leaving my feet sweat free. I also came out without a single blister or sore spot. The best part was I had to wear them for two more days of random hiking and they were still just as comfortable as the first day. I would definitely recommend these as a comfortable and reliable set of boots!"
