"I initially bought this shoe for hiking, but discovered that it was a very comfortable shoe for travel and casual wear, as I was breaking them in. I did use it for hiking the upper falls trail at Yosemite NP this June. Vey good traction, very little slippage with hiking socks and just the right amount of stiffness and weight. They "feel" right when I wear them. They also haven't developed any issues like some shoes after a few months of wear (rubbing, blisters, adverse wear, etc.)"
